In 2009, our founder ran into an old school friend at university and barely recognized him. His friend was pale, exhausted, and struggling with severe skin problems that doctor after doctor had failed to treat. "They all told me the same thing," his friend admitted. "There's nothing we can do."
Months later, that same friend reappeared completely transformed, energetic, healthy, and clear-skinned. He hadn't found a new medication. He'd simply changed what he ate, following a whole-food nutrition philosophy that rejected heavily processed staples in favor of nutrient-rich, unrefined ingredients: whole grain over bleached flour, cold-pressed oils over refined ones, natural rice over polished rice.
Curiosity became conviction.

So he asked a simple question: What if we just made it ourselves?
